Anyone know when Aquamarine in DS will reopen?

I've called a couple times in the past week and no answer. The voice mailbox is full to boot. Need to drop off my Ranger that they have failed to fix twice already.

Best of luck, you will need it...

Their FB page was last updated in Nov. They reference a number to call for questions as below:
"For More info or questions call Bryce Hill at 225-931-9165."
Have you tried that number?

Is that for the Ranger part or the Aquamarine part?

I am referring to them in general. If the same people that ran it 10 years ago are running it still, they are shady people that will remove stock stuff from new boats and sell them in the parts department, replacing the factory stuff with cheap knockoffs.

None of these things are the issue with my boat, but I guess they do say something about the integrity of the dealership.
Regardless I've been in touch with Ranger service rep and am documenting their failures to him through pictures and email.

You can't go anywhere else?

The next closest Ranger retailer is Cabelas, and I have heard horror stories about their service department. To be fair the issue I am having came from the factory. How many times do I have the dealership try to fix the problem before I start asking Ranger for a new boat?

The boat is taking on water. Not a lot, but it's a NEW boat. I've owned boats all my life. Never had a new (or otherwise) boat take on water. I have a 18 yr old Cajun Special that to this day doesn't leak a single drop if you fish all day long. I just don't see this as acceptable. I've read the sales brochure front to back and nowhere does it list "taking on, or leaking water" as part of the package.
Yeah I'm mad.
Yeah I'm mad.

Have you brought this problem to Ranger's attention? I would assume they would rectify this for you.

I posted this above. They told me to take it back to the dealership. I asked if he was referring to the same dealership that had been under feet of water and was still closed. In any case I fully expect Ranger to make this right. Sooner than later I hope.

I feel bad for your situation.
It is frustrating having a boat that leaks especially a new one when they do not give them away.
I know this is far but I bought my ranger from
Real Deal Marine in Pineville/Alex area off hwy 165 and I live in the Baton Rouge area. Their dealer is right next to Lake Buthol. This gives them the advantage to find things that are hard to find unless the boats on the water.

I appreciate the info.....honestly I do, but I feel like if my boat needs to be brought farther than the dealership I bought it from in order to be fixed that is someone else's problem. Either Aquamarine or Ranger needs to handle that problem. Me being without my boat for what has amounted to months while I pay the note seems to be more than enough cost to me.

Wow, I agree I would be pissed especially for what they cost.
If it gets bad and ranger will not help you it maybe an option over being without a boat.
I know in the outdoor power equipment business most mfg want service centers to look at the problem and verify the defect. It is slower process if the service center is slow or cannot find the issue.

I'm pretty sure they are fixing a problem without verifying anything. If you saw my boat you'd understand. It looks like crap from all of their "fixing".

They as well as Ranger are closed for the holidays.

I understand that they owe you a fix, but seems that plenty of boat dealership stories that I hear about, many come back with yet another problem.
Have you tried diagnosing it yourself? Maybe put some water in it and see if you see it leaking through on of the thru-hulls?
Doubt this is your issue, but I finally found my leak... the anchor locker had a drain in it, but the locker had separated from the floor, so it allowed the water to drain to the bilge.
Good luck with yours! And congrats on the new Ranger.

Should be an easy fix for youself to do
Youve got what maybe 6 thru hulls ?
Fill it or spray around holes from outside
One probably didnt get sealed properly or the hose to fitting is not tite
They just have a large nut on the inside
