The trick to hc3r is you have to properly align the rounds. The best way is to flip it upside down pull back the follower hold your finger over the ammo and shake it. You will know its right when the nose sticks up just a bit.

be careful taking a rotary mag apart. i did ONCE and it cost me an unplanned trip to the gunsmith.

I have one and love shooting it it. I had some of the 25 round Butler Creek mag with steel lips and I never got one to shoot without jamming or feed failure. Luckily I lost them when my 4-wheeler burned up at my buddies shop. I now have the BX25s.
I will say that the 10/22 has not been shot once since I got my S&W 15-22.
