That would be cool. I'm gonna go snip some branches this summer to grow from clippings, but I just planted different types of seeds to see how they grow.

Bonsai is not a species many confuse think all bonsai are white pines but any tree can be a bonsai tree.

I want a cypress bonsai but they require harvest from the wild in the winter and almost daily watering, but they look cool as hell

could you not just plant one of the cypress balls? May take a few more years though

You want to get a tree that has a wide base and short, then you need to trim the top and sculpt which takes can take years

Hell, any beaver pond in the southeast would have dozens of old cypress stumps that would be perfect.

I got one at a Chinese Christmas Exchange party one year. I had the last pick. Made some girl give the tree to me and she had to take a framed "Hauling arse" poster of three girls in bikinis on the tailgate of a truck.

It only took me two months to kill it. I moved it and forgot to water it for nearly two weeks.

I was looking at photos of crepe myrtle bonsai, wisteria bonsai, and magnolia.

So you can make it ofvwhatever you want.
