Going in july and was looking to fish atleast one day. does anyone have any reccomendations for charters? Would inshore be my best bet? Or is the offshore fishing worth it out there? TIA

I lived there for 2 years. The hunting and fishing in general is very, very poor compared to MS and LA.
Inshore is a joke. If someone has a redfish (they call it a spottail) at the dock, everyone crowds around to see it.
Duck season, guys launch their boats at 10 pm, then run for over an hour, to set up somewhere and spend the night in the boat. Then kill 2-3 ducks.
Offshore can be good when the dolphin are running. But they come through in May, and then again in Sept on their way back. July isn't a very good month.

I follow some flood tide guides around the area that look like they have a good time. Check out RedfishBeufort...closer to Hilton Head.

This is the more bizarre things I've heard in a really long time.
It's flood tide season, the fishing in the lowcountry is very very good this time of year. It's good year round but the floodtide season is something very special. It's a type of fishing you rarely, if ever, find in Louisiana. Unfortunately I don't know any guides but I might know someone who does. I can chase him down and ask if it's something you're interested in.

Check with Harry Tomlinson, he might be able to hook you up. Last I heard he was a medical resident but I think he still guides part time.

I'm being told Chris Wilson is good.

If the Lowcountry Fly shop is still open you might be able to hit up Scotty Davis.
In the mean time, check this cool shite out LINK

I've fished near Mcclellandville and we caught quite a few trout and redfish but this was in the fall as we were in the area primarily to head to Columbia for an LSU game. It's not LA fishing but it's a quaint little fishing town in the low country and I enjoyed it quite a bit. We went with a friend of a friend who lives there but I'm sure there are guides who fish the area.
