Why not just find someone selling what you want or one better? Got a buddy selling a colt that has had a whole 8 or 9 rounds through it.

Some people are iffy about buying "used" guns. Not me personally, but I know some who are.

Springfield Milspec can be had for the 500's if I recall correctly. I got mine in stainless for $600 about 5 years ago. I personally wouldn't go cheap for the sake of saving money. Get something low cost and entry level that can be upgraded overtime. There are several things you can change out over time and you'll have a $900-$1000 gun.
