Went three times since this past Saturday and been doing really well. Drifted drum lake (drum hole), stump lagoon and muscle bay, stop and catch a few and drift again. If drifting is not your thing, try the edges where the bayous empty into bays. Best results have been casting into the middle of the bays and bayou.

Hope this helps looks like a great weekend for fishing!

Redfish,

Did you fishearwater both drum lake and drum hole. I haven't gone through there in two years but if I remember correctly don't you have to go through drum lake a certain way cause of it being really shallow and/ or obstructiions. Or did you go in and just start drifting around? Was thinking of going Sunday but keep thinking of going to bayou bienvenue and western part of borgne instead.

Both actually but you are correct. Plenty of obstructions. The water has been a lot higher than normal for this time of year. Western Lake Borne is loaded with fish too I hear. Good luck. Heading out now to give it another go. I will let you know how we do.

Definitely post some reports when you guys get back. Stay safe in all that fog.

just come a little more south around alligator bend. Closer to icww and chef harbor and all points south of there.

Me and a friend put a nice box of fish together in the Biloxi Marsh weekend after Thanksgiving. Not much drifting. Trout in the middle of waterways, reds on shore line. All on live shrimp under cork.

We had to work hard for them yesterday. Lots of small fish everywhere we went. Lots of running and scouting. We fished stump, muscle and petes lagoon. We couldn't find hardly any tide....
We finished early due to rain coming in on us. Four people fishing: 55 trout, 10 reds, 10 drum, 8 sheephead.

Going to leave in a few minutes to make an afternoon trip. I'll let ya know how we do.

Never fished western lake borne except what you stated alligator and proctors. Sorry I can't help any on that side.

Thanks for the report redfish. Still planning on going somewhere tomorrow. Tide should be moving a lot better with some southerly winds ahead of front. Should be a good day. Thinking of going lake borgne route do to warm temps but not sure yet. Also thought about lake robin and lake ameda areas. Too many damn choices

I've been doing better in eastern Lake Borgne under birds and fishing shorelines/cuts dumping into lake from northern biloxi marsh. Trout have been 13-15". You always have to sort through the schoolies this time of year but the fishing has been on fire lately.
Stay safe out there.

I agree too many choices. Finnally got on the water this afternoon at 1:30. Fished muscle bay again and ended up with 30 trout, 4 drum, and a slot red. Had pick through the little ones again but lots of bites and action.

We also talked about fishing lake robin tomorrow. My buddy that is a charter capt fished lake robin area today and did well, although he said that it was just like everywhere else, plenty of fish just have to find the bigger ones.

I think I'm going to wait until after the front passes to try ameda. We usually do better in there when its colder and windy.

We will be at again in the morning.
Good luck!
