They are an awesome, intelligent creature.

Wish they were in the Deep South.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, ... While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

The crow is enough bird intelligence for me. My father knows some of their language and has a call. He has a murder of crows that he calls in and feeds every morning. He lives in a subdivision and it drives the dogs and cats nuts.

BTW, here is older National Geographic video on ravens: LINK

My brother had a crow when we were young. Found it as a chic. Raised it and hand fed it. It would ride on the handlebars of his 90 atc. The crow would spread his wings like he was flying. Lol. He feel off going down a levee and my brother ran over him.

I didn't even know crows and ravens were two different species. I just always figured Yankees called crows ravens.

They are extremely intelligent. I'm a raven watcher for sure. They're all over the place around here
