Anybody install bearing buddies on their boat trailer?

I have a bearing issue going on where my hub is leaking grease. I am going to replace the bearings and was thinking about installing bearing buddies to prevent this in the future. Do they work? Are they a PITA to install? Any other issues?
My boat is a 16' Skiff so nothing huge in terms of weight or drag when towing it.

Bearing buddys are nice but i always seem to lose one.
So now i just remove them after greasing and reinstall dust cap.
Most think using a bearing buddy means yo dont have to maintnance bearings
You should still disasemble and pack atleast once a yr

I've used them (or the better "oil bath" systems) for over 20 years. Never lost a bearing, much less ruined a hub, yet.

Thinking wrong there. In fact they will push out grease out the back seal.
If you really want to fix the problem, go with oil hubs. They are the shits.

Gotta scuff them um on the concrete pretty good before knocking them in with a block. They stay a lot better like that. I learned this after going through 3 packs one summer.

easy as hell to install...basically just take the dust caps off and knock them in with a hammer and a piece of wood...
they work very well for what they were designed for..and that is to keep from sucking water into the bearings when the trailer is backed down into the lake...
as far as keeping greas in, they totally suck at that...even with the bearing buddy bra, they still ooze grease out of every orifice...
