Dove season opens Sept. 1st in TX regardless of the day of the week. I'll be out at our ranch with a couple of friends hunting in the morning.

I'll be getting tuned up for the LA opener the next day while you suckers are at work.

No to tomorrow, yes to Saturday. I dont guess i have anywhere to go in TX, but i am off work so you never know.

With this front and storm, is there really any point in going?

That's the big question. Our place had some birds as of Sunday. I'll get out there this afternoon right before dark to assess the situation.

I'm going regardless.

Will be out in central Texas tomorrow giving it a go. It's been slow the last two years and unfortunately I think this year will look similar. But I took Friday off anyways to turn it into a 4 day weekend and will enjoy college football and hunting several times over the weekend nonetheless!

Didn't worry much about it this year because I planned on going to Houston. Decided not to do NO, so I just texted a friend that invited me a couple years ago.
If I do go, I can almost guarantee it will be shitty. Sure jinx.

Y'all are out there, I'm near the TX/LA state line.

I have a hunt in Wichita Falls coming up weekend after next. We've had some crazy good wing shooting out there.

Headed out tomorrow just northeast of Abilene. Went last year and did very well. Hopefully, this year is just as good as last year.

Heading out to Sealy to shoot whitewings in the morning. The guy said they're still in there after the storm. He's probably full of shite but we're gonna give it hell anyway.

Was wondering the same, where in WC are you? I spent a good bit of time around kilbourne last season.

Trying out kilbourne for the first time this year. Wondering if it's worth going this weekend.
