Does Larry Reynolds usually put out a real report? No one has mentioned anything about seeing teal anywhere right now.

I've heard from
More than one source that the teal are literally stacked up 50-100k thick on 2-3 farms in welsh/Roanoke area.

Also heard the game wardens aren't letting those farms be hunted based on how the rice was
Managed.

Was down there last week on delta duck. Caught plenty bass did not see a single teal. That being said I'll be hunting Delacroix when I get off Tuesday morning

That is all the information I've gotten. Heard it second hand from someone friends with Reggie Knowles.

Basically word was the big lease guys in the area like Reggie were all working trying to find a way to get the birds to move off the farms. Game wardens aren't letting anyone hunt those farms due to something with the rice farming practice done there. I've never heard such a thing.

Also in other thread, someone said it is 100% true there are farms holding 100K birds. Game wardens stated you can walk down the levees and the birds won't leave or move.

Adding the two stories together that I've heard, I believe there is atleast some truth to it.

But you have no idea who farms these tracts? I've never heard anything like this. I've seen teal stacked on some farms that would make you believe they were baited, be it through farming practice or dumping. But that's almost every year in certain areas down in SWLA. I really wanna know which farm it's on

If it involves Reggie Knowles it's a lie...

Pretty much same story we heard. Farmer could not get his crop out before his field flooded back up after rains. Had massive amount of teal move in and they are not wanting to move from there. Supposedly Wildlife & Fisheries are going to somehow fly low through there to stir them up and get them moving. How much of the last part is actually going to happen or even do anything, I dunno.

Sorry that Reggie screwed your wife. He never lied to us and was prompt in response.

He is quirky and the area doesn't hold big ducks but definitely stacked with teal.

I highly doubt WLF would spend tax money fueling and flying planes just to "stir up" resting masses of teal on a farm they deemed illegal to hunt. That would seriously be some shite only Louisiana would do. And 2indapink, I agree about RK. Only had bad experiences with him. I still need to know who TF you are
