I am looking for a zero turn with 42" deck for under $3k. I cut 3/4 of an acre so i dont think i need any more than a solid residential series, i like the hustlers. I am not in a rush and know most places have seasonal sales.

Anyone got input on upcoming sales or reccomendations in the BR area?

I borrowed my neighbor's Hustler when mine was down. I find it well built but very slow and doesn't cut well for a residential mower. Very uneven cut, I spent time checking the air in the tires and checking the level on the deck and it still cut uneven.

I recommend Gravely, not sure what dealers are in BR. They offer 0% financing up to 48 months.

i bought a big dog which is made by same company that makes hustler. its same mower but with a couple upgraded features. I know they have more brands there than that though.

I don't think this exists.

I've had the Toro Z series for several years and have not had a single problem with it. Got submerged under 3 ft of water during the flood, drained all the fluids, changed plug and filters, cranked right up and still runs flawlessly.

I have had a Craftsman 42 inch zero turn for 3 years. Think it was around $2,100. I mow 3.5 acres usually once a week. Take about 1 hour 45 minues. No trouble with exception of replacing drive belt once. For the money I am pleased.

I ran scags for a while until we sold the landscaping company, then had a bad boy for a couple years for the house.

Those 2 mowers are substantially different but I would still say the bad boy was a solid residential mower. Never had any issues with it besides belts and blades, but that's just maintenance. I hated having a plastic chute without a hand lever, but that was my biggest complaint.
