Gosh dangit. Was really wanting to go. Had a day planned for the weekend of the flooding.
Definitely will be a while.

Does it generally wash away the burms?

Hope it goes down soon, I need to sight in a new scope on my deer rifle.
And my neighbors have AK 47s to play with afterwards.
(I strained to avoid saying Assault Rifles. Either way, I wanna shoot them.)

My biggest concern are the skeet machines...they were only moved to the top of the rifle line shooting benches...
there are 7 machines worth around 30k and two con ex boxes full of skeet...
biggest obstacle to reopening will be the road wash outs on either side of the bridge and then begin clean up...we can operate without the skeet machines if they are damaged...the berms are there, but the mud washes down over the 100yd. target stands, and they will have to be dug out.
monetarily the biggest loss would be the skeet equipment and skeet...
Damn, after zooming in some it looks like two of the machines were washed off of the benches and rest just behind the rifle line just in front to the right of the supply box cover...
one protective wall for incoming machine #3 was knocked down...
I don't see the plate racks for pistol, but they may have put them in the co ex boxes...

My son just pointed out the orange debris fields(skeet) near those machines...and coming out of the rifle line in a couple other places...
yeah...they WERE washed off of the benches...
This sucks!

Just zoomed in at the 100yd gongs. All but 2 are still hanging from both straps. Gongs at lanes 2 & 3 are hanging by 1 strap.
I can't believe any of them are still even hanging!
Yeah, that's definitely skeet behind the rifle line meaning the throwers fell over off the shooting benches.

Tried to go see how close I could drive to the range today. DW&F still has the main entrance gate closed and locked.

that ain't gonna happen...
River is at 17.4 and will still be 16.5 through tuesday...bridge floods with washout on either side at 16+'
My guess is the gates are closed because there may have been another washout of old hwy 11 like happened once before due to high water...but thats just a guess
here's the pearl river gauge...this image should self update iirc

We are hoping to reopen the range by Friday April 8th...
Two big work details this weekend if we can get into the range this weekend if water is down
Will only be rifle and pistol for the time being...Will let y'all know after I work cleanup this weekend, if we will meet that goal...
