Picked up the SR 1911 light weight today. Paid 750.00 which I didn't think was all that bad. I think it looks good next to my SA Ruger Vaquero. Now I need to get out and see how it does at the range.

$750 seems a little high.

$750 is high. I bought the LW CMD SR1911 new a few months ago and paid 670 something out the door.

Time you add shipping and FFL you are closer to $700.

Plus, dealing with some of the half-wits on GB s a PITA.

(No email, fax. CC is extra. Don't call, email. Set up,your own FFL, etc.)

Yeah it's the commander size, I could have shopped around or ordered off line but I walked in to the store today and they had one in stock.

The price in the store was 695.00 after tax I was around 750 out the door.

I had one good one and 3 pain in the butt ones.

Still use them, b/c sometimes that's the only way to get something particular.
Puglia's is good about ordering stuff, too.

I'm a terrible marksman but I shoot my SR1911c great. Very fun range gun.

Now all you need is a half dozen Wilson Combat or Chip McCormick magazines.

Excellent addition to your collection!

I still think the Ruger 1911s are the highest value American 1911s on the market. They bring a ton of great features to the table.
