I have a 2012 Titan 4x4, I'm 98% on the road but need a little dirt/mud traction every once in a while. Looking for good treadwear. Any recommendations? General AT2s look pretty good. Also considering BFG KO2s, but have seen some reviews that say the tread life is poor.

What size do you need? BFG Rugged Terrain T/A's are pretty good for what you are asking for.

Well scratch that one, they don't seem to have that tire in that particular size. Rugged Trail and KO2's are options. I got Rugged Trail T/A's for my gf's truck and they've been very good, pretty quiet too.

Rugged Trails were original and only last me about 40,000. If that is all I can get, that's fine. But would love to get 60K.

Just put these on my truck. They ride much better than the Cooper Zeon LTZ I had.

I got about 85k out of a set of BFG ATs. 60k on a Tacoma, 20k on a F150, and another 5k on a F100. At that point, someone slashed them thinking it was a different truck.

My 2500HD has the same tires with about 50k on them, with about 10k more usable tread until they become useless off road.

Unless BFG changed the composition of the tires, whoever said that is lying. 98% of what is posted on the internet is someone repeating what they heard from someone, who read it online somewhere, who heard about a guy one time. Unless it is personal experience, don't believe it.

That being said, BFG makes a Rugged Terrain in that size, Toyo makes the Open Country AT, Bridgestone Dueler ATs, and Firestone Destination ATs.

My roommate had the Rugged Terrains, and they didn't last that long. I haven't ever been partial to Toyo tires in any conditions. The other two are great tires. I have driven on and off road on all of them. I'd personally pick the Dueler ATs

If you're on the black top/concrete 98% of the time I wouldn't recommend A/T tires; the ride is too rough. Michelin M/S 2 is a great tire & smooth as hell.

Would definitely the recommend BFG T/A KO2s. I have a set on my F150 4x4 and currently have 23k miles on them. Still look close to brand new after rotating them every 5k-6k miles.

what size do you have and did your MPG change? Im looking in to the 275/60 R20 KO2s. Not sure if i want to take the hit jumping to load range D.

I'm about to put Goodyear Duratracs on mine. A buddy has BFG A/T KO2 and likes them. The tread is pretty soft. He says that they develop a flat spot if the truck sits up for a couple days but that it smooths back out after about a mile or 2.

I put a set of Nitto Terra Grapler G2's on my truck about 2k miles ago and so far so good. I wanted the toyo open country but they were on national back order. I have the 285/75R18 mounted on 18x9 fuel wheels. Works out to 35x11.50

Hoping to get a good 40k out of them.

Goodyear Duratracs are very popular with the 4runner crowd. They are pretty light weight and apparently work well. They don't come in the exact size you were looking at though, closest would be 285/70

I made a slight jump from 275/65/R18 to 275/70/R18 and lost maybe 1-2 MPG, but I also have a 2" leveling kit.

Been happy with them so far

Mileage hasn't been a drastic change but I drive 100-200 miles a week.

thanks.
A guy i work with has the 275/70r18 duratrac's (load range E) w/ a 2" level and he lost closer to 2mpg
Im torn between the standard loan range 33" duratrac's and the load range D KO2s. I can get them for the same price. KO2s are heavier which is the only thing stopping me

i drive 300-400 a week + weekend hunting and fishing. I dont want the terra grapplers. The AT2's i think are load range E in my size. Not real sold on any other AT styles in my size as most are LR E in 20" rim. I want to avoid the qualities of a LR E if possible.
