Now here is a serpent that is deadly and needs to be removed unlike those harmless beauties that the scary ones want ID'd on here.

Except that you would basically have to be standing over the snake to take that picture and I don't think she has it in her.

Now that would be a legitimate snake id thread. Not the normal chicken snake or king snake one

Yeah, but the token response would work:

A dead one.

I have to revisit this. I'm 100% certain that the picture is, indeed, real. Where it was taken and by whom is another question.

I don't even like getting too close to the glass with those.

I live near Milledgeville and I'm 100% certain a black woman from Middle Georgia "did not" take that picture. I don't know who did (?).....but I'm pretty sure (100%) who didn't.

When I have irrational fear of snakes, that particular species is what my head sees.

It is the heaviest venomous snake in Africa, weighing 8 kg (18 pounds), and it grows to a length of 2 metres (about 7 feet). The Gaboon viper also possesses the longest fangs of any snake, measuring up to 4 cm (1.6 inches) long.

Probably best if we just drop a nuke in the area where it was last seen. Better to be safe than sorry.

Beautiful markings. Interesting species to read about. Large but very docile.

That would be a dream catch right there. My all time favorite snake. Audubon Zoo always has always had a big fricker on display for as long as I can remember.
