5 lb trout eats a 14 inch mullet!

Saw this on anther forum. Had no idea they'd eat something that large, and still be hungry! Crazy.

I was cleaning a 5 pound flounder one time and he had an 8 inch mullet in his belly so I'm not surprised.

We fish for trout using 8-14 inch pogies.

That is surprising because I recently read an article on flounder that stated that they mostly eat shrimp and small bait fish even as adults. Just eat more of them is what they stated.

Are you serious Clark?

I didn't think pogies got that large. Largest I've seen have been maybe 6-8 inches.
