Unrelatedish: The new F150 Raptor was released today too, and it's badass.

3.5 Eco, no other details on the motor. Supposed to have an all new suspension and some other off road goodies. I didn't care for the last Raptor bc it asserted itself as the flagship vehicle of douchebags everywhere...but this new one...I like a lot. No trashy graphics lol.

Graphics was a dealer add on. Not a single one came from the factory with them.

I really wanted a 5.0 Eco, but after the GT using the 3.5 and boasting 600+hp, Im okay with it too.

Ahh, true. Still, just glad they didn't unveil the thing with them on lol. I do admit I liked the old ones in that sand color and super crew. That was a nice looking truck.

Ford killed it with this one though. Hate to see what msrp will be...

Ford's release stated that the base price was going to be a hair over 75k.

Not really, but wouldn't surprise me either.

It'll tow that extra 500 pounds like it isn't there and still get 20mpg doing it. It's a mule of a motor.

It's too much motor for a half ton though IMO. It will likely be over a $6k option for the diesel by the time you drive away in it. I would like to see it offered in 3/4 tons.

I agree 100%.

However, if you are towing 12klbs daily, you need a 3/4 ton.

I'm not sure that it would have any advantages in a 3/4 ton either. Doubtful that it would get more MPG than the 6.7 Cummins and certainly wouldn't tow any more.

What Nissan is doing with the Frontier and Titan makes me sad all day.

I have owned a 2005, 2008, and now a 2012 Frontier. As well as a 2006 350z. I love Nissans but not with these atrocities.

2016 Frontier redesign

The new F150 and Tundra has sex and this is what it spawned.

Wonder if they ever figured out how to build a rear end. Cummins engines are also notorious for building large amounts of power at low rpms, so I'd be skeptical of both the rear end and transmission

Titan body, 07 dodge tail light, Infiniti try hard front facia. Still a POS...

One thing to remember when comparing to gm's 6.2 is that it only takes premium so when oil isn't 40 fricken dollars a barrel that and diesel are pretty close. Another thing to consider is that the diesel options in most 3/4 ton trucks is nearly 10 grand when the better transmission I included (Allison aisin.) wonder what just the motor will cost you here.

It is recommended - you can fill it up with what ever grade you want, most typical drivers won't notice the difference in running with different grades of fuel.

It's a good bit cheaper than the 6.7

I strongly considered a Titan but it had some issues.

1. To expensive
2. Bad gas mileage
3. Poor towing capacity

Fix all three of these and I will buy one.

I ain't chancin it I can tell you that. The compression ratio is a little higher and its advised. Something for them to bring up if it ever starts running bad.
