Where did you hunt DL?
I was in Askew. Tons of people. My 3 spots were taken, and ended up getting skunked.

Thanks for the reply! sorry for the late response... just now seeing this. I live in Dallas, but my property is in East Texas along with my gf and most of my family, so I'm there almost every weekend during the hunting season.

Didn't fire another shot after 7:00 this morning. Lucky to get what I did.

So I couldn't get out to hunt today, decided to mess around with some old decoys. I took these floaters 
[/URL][/img] and I cut off the keels, drilled some holes and turned them into full bodies

Even added some fuel lines for legs

Then I tools some old beat up ghg pro grades that the paint was chipping off the heads

And I did a diy flocking on them.

The flocking is a little lighter than I wanted, but I've already ordered some online that's darker to do about 2 dz more.
I found the flocking powder at hobby lobby but they didn't have a lot of color options. Now that I feel comfortable doing it I order from a actual waterfowl company so the colors shout look better.

Thanks, now im trying to decide if i want to flock all 3 dz of my mallards or not. It really isnt too much trouble, just a little messy.

White Lake hunt. Never saw so many pintails in my life. With the east- southeast wind, the hunt was screwed to start with due to there set up. We had well over 1k of pintails landed in the pond just outside range. Hell, when we left, spooking them, they all came back and landed again.
Still, we bagged limits of mixed birds. Daughter and I.
