Mine is a 95, single cab 4 cyl with a 6 speed, it's beat to hell and back, but still runs as good as ever. It's still a carbureted engine.

Just picking fun and not serious. I like Ram trucks. But to cover myself,

A 18 year old Dakota is not a Ram in brand nor model so my statement still stands.

People like to talk shite about dodges, and rightfully so a lot of the time, but dodge has always been good to me. I'd love a 2500 longhorn edition. I'd get rid of my van for that.

Ive owned three sets of boggers and never gotten over 7500 miles out of them.
truck was a ranger for 2 of the sets.. I will personally never put them on a truck I have to drive on the street again.
I love TSL and ltbs but the LTBs are made with a softer rubber so they cut easier..
I had a set of 34/9.50s that lugs came off on the way home from getting them mounted..
Probably went throught 15 in 6 months befotr getting a set that didnt come apart..
This was bout 10yrs ago..

Had them on my first Dodge 1500 for about a month before it got totaled. Only used them a few times and haven't had the opportunity to get them since. I will be getting a set of 305/55/20 soon as my BFGs wear down.

My next truck will be a 2500 Ram or F250. Both look good with mild modifications (all I need).

Must've gotten some American designers to do that one.

Do manufacturers really not have anyone sitting there saying, "Hey guys, that looks stupid"?

I've wondered this myself. They need to let us design an OB edition.

Tried jumping one and didn't make it and smashed the front but that was a few years before being totaled.

Supposedly the 2013 ram 3500s can haul 30,000 lbs.

its not carb unless it has been changed to ome..

All vehicles 87 and newer sold in the US are fuel injected..
It should be a throttle body injection which looks like a carb..

Pulling something isn't hard. It's the stopping and frame stress that gets you. Hell, I pulled a 34ft Yellowfin with a V6 Tacoma. Glad it had trailer brakes

My end game is designing and building trucks that I can put a 10yr unlimited mileage warranty on. Smaller, old Tacoma style built basically off of the Hilux design. 1/2 ton with 3/4 ton drivetrain. 3/4-1 tons damn near as tough as a duece and a half. All set up for rough use. Pavement driving would be the third or fourth thing looked at in the design process

Make them all easy as hell to work on because the people I would let buy them would rather work on it themselves than bring it in for warranty work.

I could do it now but people wouldn't think I was legit without a degree

Clearly.

However, how much better are the brakes going to be on the 2013 Ram 3500s as compared to the 2011s? I doubt they increased the stopping power by over 50%.

It's more about keeping the brakes cool and suspension loading really. Most of the 1 tons have Jake brakes now too

Not sure if these domestic idiots could put two and two together though

Dodge had Jake brakes long before any other company, from the factory. I know my dads 2007 3500 Ram had them.

The towing capacity of a 2007 3500 is much much lower than a 2013 2500 and they have the same suspension and engine. Its all brakes but how much?

Idk what that question means, so eleventy thousand

The engines put out significantly more now, and I sure hope they update the frame and suspension to handle it. Who knows, GM has been selling broken tailgate handles for 20yrs and can't figure that one out
