I am looking at the same truck but in a gas burner.I just got rid of a diesel and cant justify the upfront costs and maint. The 6.2 is fine motor from what I read and gets 14-16 on the highway with 3.73's.I only pull my tractor 3-4 times a year and TT maybe 3x.In all actuality a 1/2 ton would probably be enough for me but I like the bigger brakes, frame, cooling system etc

How much is diesel in LA?

It seems to run about 20-30 cents more per gallon than premium here.

How am I a dumbass for this. If you are worried about fuel economy you should get two used vehichles for each function they serve.

Anyone who buys a big truck and is worried about the difference between 14-21 mpg is an idiot. Newsflash: "You bought a big truck its not going to get good gas mileage."

Only exception is if it is for work. Never saw that stated in the thread.

Well, it all started when the suction fricked up because mine doesn't have a gas cap like every other motor ever made. After the suction caused my gas tank to collapse on itself, it bent the fuel guage float, so I then had to use my odometer to know when to refill. 20K miles later and running out of gas 3 or 4 times, the fuel pump kicked the bucket as it is also contained internally in the gas tank. As well as the fuel filter.

It's been one thing after another with this mother fricker.

I agree. It was still under warranty when it first happened, but the dealership claimed the warranty only covered moving parts. I asked if a float going up and down inside a gas tank moved...

They enjoyed my rhetoric... but declined to fix it.

The thing was 2 other guys were in there with the same thing. That should have been recalled...

About 55K if I remeber correctly, because the warranty was 60K.

That's how it has always been for me. The thing is, I try hard and it is becoming rapidly apparent I will never get ahead in life.
