Same here. Where did you learn to do fiberglass work?
Youtube

I am a complete rookie when it comes to boat repair so mostly its trial and error. For example, dont use cloth fiberglass when applying layers to the hull because when you go to sand it smooth, you end up sanding the cloth right out of the repair. Better to apply chopped mat multiple times and use filler to smooth out any low spots. I wasted so much time and effort sanding off the cloth layers today

I have finished grinding out the spider cracks and filling them with Epoxy filler. I have sanded the impact damage out and replaced the fiberglass in damaged areas.

I have sanded down all of the non skid flooring on the hatches and boat decking.

Next step will be to use fiberglass putty to level out any low spots on the hull, sand smooth and level, then apply primer, then paint.

Man I'm itching just looking at it. lol. My transom was rotten on my ski boat and I had to replace it a few years ago. Sanding fiberglass in the summer is brutal. I put about 3 layers of woven/chopped and the tabbed it all in. It's at least as strong as the original build.

How was the foam? Was it waterlogged at all? USComposites has good prices on expanding closed cell foam if you need to replace any. Really easy to work with.

And the boat looks great!

yeah man. I reapplied the filler couple days ago, started sanding it tonight and will finish it off on Sunday.

Saturday is golf and football.

I dont have much to contribute here but i rewired and fixed some stuff on my boat. GenuineDealz pretty much had the best prices on quality stuff and they shipped super fast if you are looking for a source. Thanks for sharing this with us.
