Ok that explains it. Sweetwater is where we were planning on fishing from, I just mentioned Delacroix Lodge for cabins since they were $50/night cheaper.

4, dont feel obligated to switch your cabin, we can party at one location and ease back to the bunks either direction since they are just down the street from each other. Since you have 5 people spoken for, I think Sweetwater would fit you better.

Delacroix Lodge sleeps 4 for $150/night, Sweetwater sleeps 6 for $200/night. You will need the extra bed. (or push the 5th and 6th beds together for KR)

So what's the consensus on what time to meet at the launch? We need to all show up close to the same time and turn some heads. Obviously we'll disperse once we get going, but I think it would be cool for people to wonder just what we have going on. I say 6:30 for those of us coming in from our home cities. You'll catch redfish ALL DAY, so no need to get an early morning jump. Plus a good portion of the boaters will already be out of our way.

Thoughts?

You won't worry about me in the yak lineup at daylight. I'm certain my Friday evening will consist of one handed cooking, jamming to both kinds of music, and good fellowship.

I've also consulted my trusty isolunar app about the weekend in question. If I do hit the water, I will purchase my shiners and crickets around noon on Saturday and strike out with a vengeance.

Any time is fine with me.

I will arrive Friday around 11-12pm and fish the evening just to get as much time on the water as possible.

Probably wont sleep much Friday night due to anticipation, so Im good to hit the water as early as you want.

When it is 4 fish they just jump in the boat. No need to buy bait.

Gold spoon and another gold spoon. And maybe a gold spoon. They can't leave em alone and I'm not the arguing type.

But for real, might put a buzzbait frog on also.

Don't stress yourself over baits. The days are "4 fish" days. You don't even need hooks. The leaping reds in the marsh are certain to KO at least one OB ER.

I booked at Delacroix lodge today. Told the wife afterwards and she was all cool about it. I wish I could make it for a Friday evenin' fish but I likely won't be able to get out of lake chuck any earlier than 3. We'll see...

I'm hoping to make it Friday early enough to fish with Pop that afternoon.

I'm pretty sure I can cut out of BR around lunch time on that Friday.
