1911 purchase/ Glock safety discussion

So here's the deal. Found out that I will be getting an unexpected bonus from work in a couple of months and Im looking to venture into uncharted territory and get a 1911. Im seeking the sage advice/recommendations of the OB for this purchase.
Here's a few parameters
1. Ambidextrous thumb safety
2. Full size ("5 barrel)
3. Solid stainless steel (no dual tone)
4. Night sights
5. .45 acp
6. $1000-$1250 budget
Anyone have an idea of a 1911 that will fit these parameters?

This is an outlier company that may take months on a waiting list, but consider a Valtro.

Kimber or Springfield, cant go wrong with either. If you want to save some $ you can get a Para, which I have in stainless for a lil over 800. I love it, great trigger.

Ed Brown Special Forces model and don't look back. I have an upgraded Executive Elite and it is by far the finest firearm on the planet. As soon as I can save up, I getting another Ed Brown, probably an Executive Carry with the same upgrades as my EE. Here is a not so good pic of my EE.

Ed Brown's look great. Unfortunately they are roughly double my budget. Thanks for the input though

Kimber raptor 2 stainless steel, I have the 4" barrel but they have a full size model too

Dude the options are endless. If you like "different" style guns check out the kimber coverts. I like them alot and i believe they fit that description. Also the springfield armory range officer is a really nice new piece. I would check that out.

as soon as I sell one of my Glocks, I will pick up a Springfield 1911 A1 Loaded. Budget is right as 1911s go.

I'll piss some Kimber owners off by saying this, but at your price range, you can get a better gun for the money. And Wilson's are way overpriced.

I saw your thread on it earlier. I think I found a Springfield that fits my requirements (PX9151LP) but want to see what all is available.
I guess I have it down to Kimber, Springfield, maybe STI. Im just seeing if there are other brands I may have overlooked

Ive heard good and not so good things about Kimber, i.e. they have let their quality slip a bit in recent years.

Would suggest Springfield and Kimber. My fav is the Kimber Raptor which they used to have in aluminum but it seems they discontinued it and now they have the Raptor II in stainless. Right up your ally
And yes I love Drums and Guns. Got the name from a youtuber named nutnfancy who makes a lot of gun and knife videos. He always does run through gun courses which he calls RunNGuns. I thought since my blazing fast double bass feet sound like a machine gun when playing 32nd notes and I love guns the play on words was too perfect.
