Got some big boys on camera cruising around here, hopefully this little flood will push them out their bedding. Still waiting on the damn rut.

Tent blind in a small clearing near a creek

Hunted this tent yesterday evening in a misting rain. The deer were as active as ive ever seen them. Ended up seeing a total of 13 different deer. 5 does, 2 spikes, and 5 other small bucks. While it was entertaining as hell, kind of frustrating to see all that action but no shooter bucks. Starting to worry that the 2 ten pointers that we were seeing on camera all october have been shot.

Same set up as yesterday, Henry County TN. Son on trigger, 6.5 creed. Wheat field. Deer movement is nonexistent. Got to be headed back to the sip by 1030 per Mrs. Recovered orders.

Currently sitting in a box stand in the swamp. Had intentions on going walk around but I didn't realize how fricking hard it is to walk with a rain suit over hip boots. I can't do shite with this thing on.

Salvador used to be simply awesome for mallards. The flotant (sp) marsh is great for them. Just 15 years ago it was nothing to go out and shoot a limit of mallards there.

I haven't set foot out there in easily 15 years I know it's changed a lot since then but I would have to believe some still migrate there.
