Control room with cup of coffee

I’m going to live through yall on this one as I’m working, but I wanted to start this thread to remind everyone please be careful. This wind and cold is no joke. Even for the deer hunters. Chains start freezing up and metal acts funny. You maybe in a box stand but give yourself some extra time.

Now with that said, I want to see some dead animals.

Well I came home from hunting yesterday and figured out I have the shingles virus. Going to the doctor today. Caught Covid last year at this time. Can’t wait to see what I get for Christmas next year. Lol.

I have an 18” 9 pointer on the wall killed northeast of Clinton about 30 years ago. A coworker had around 20 acres off of Perkins Road in the Felps area. Good luck today.

I’m in Avoyelles. Hunted 10-12 years ago when it was 11 degrees. Not even a bird was chirping. Sitting in my warm outdoor kitchen drinking coffee. Not that mad at’em.

Southern Area 9
26 dogris.
(Feels like it’s on the edge of 17 as Stevie Nicks would say)
18mph NNW wind
Savage .270
Front box plot

Man that bed was warm but a shooter was here around 3am and a couple does were here from 420-445. I guess this means they aren’t bedded down at the moment. Didn't think they would be moving early in this wind but here we are. Mr Buddy and a mini Slim Jim (wedged in the door to keep it from knocking) to the rescue.

For the box hunters, check your windows to make sure they aren’t frozen shut. Better to get them open now and not when a nice buck walks out
