I’ve gotta say. I talked shite about Sitka type clothes for a long time, but bruh, this is nice. Heavyweight hoody and bottoms under Dakota hoodie and pants. Cozy as all hell.
On the way in though, it was hot as 2 rats fricking in a wool sock on top the water heater. Had to pop the vents on the pants before swamp arse set in.
All that, and I don’t look like the Michelin man walking though the woods.

Saw a doe with 4mins of shooting light left nothing behind and didn’t act like anything was following her. Didn’t hear a shot all day.

Same as you been in the stand most the day. Seen 14 total. Does and yearlings feeding and young bucks cruising.

Had a spike cruise in from down wind but never spooked so we were good. Couldnt get gun out side window quick enough so we put it out front and waited for him to do exactly what a told my son he was going to do; cross the ditch/road and be broadside. He did but never stopped walking, clean across the plot. Mmaammpppp’d him but it didnt even check up. My lil baw thought it had to stop to pull trigger. No problem, after calming him down I told him that 8pt wasnt far but only had a couple minutes left to see. Sure as shite got him on cam at the feeder looking in the direction of my truck leaving 3-4 minutes after we got down.
