He's been close two morning in a row. Yesterday he had a pretty 9 pt at 4 yds. But the deer was on his off side and behind brush. Wouldn't walk out. This morning saw a good 120-130 dogging a doe but they ducked into the woods before him and that was it.

A guy with us went set up where I killed Sunday. Hopefully someone tags one.

Eta: yesterday evening I sat with him. We had two spikes come in but that's all

I guess until I go to Illinois I wont understand that type of hunting. It looks like you are out in the wide arse open. I would get busted in SW Miss hunting that exposed. Or do the deer just not care because the pressure is lower there?

I bet he is 25 up feet - at least. No sudden, stupid movement and he will be fine.

He has been begging me to go. The oldest has let his grades slip so he is studying instead of hunting. My wife has our 4 yr old daughter with her on the other side of our place....Good times

Had two does and two yearlings come to the feeder and hang for a while. A spike chased them around for a bit and then they all ran off. Had a few more spikes scamper through late. Still waiting on a good one to come through.
