Brought Jr squirrel hunting this morning. Had 3 around us. Let him shoot at the closest one. The Crack barrel hammer came back and smoked him right under his eye. Hunt over. Not his first time in the woods with it, but maybe anxious to kill his first squirrel. I don't think it'll ruin him though. He's pretty tough.

Got a doe yeaterday afternoon on the first hunt. Now looking for the big boy!! First time up here. Corn and soy beans standing in some places.

I know it's hard to stay after something like that happens. And I always wondered if dogs really screw up an area.

Last week on my trail cam, I had a big arse yellow bulldog mix looking dog by my feeder. Less than an hour later I have pics of an 8 point in the same spot.

Just some food for thought.

Went check camera and fill feeder. This old boy showed up again. I think I'll make my first bow hunt tomorrow
