Yeah we’re leaving this afternoon. Not hunting this evening or tomorrow

This might it for me unless I venture over to Alabama or Mississippi and catch that rut into February

17° F with a North wind. Hunting a logging road between a cutover and timber with my 45-70. Looking for one more deer to finish out the season and plan to use the 45-70 the rest of the way. I spooked one deer on my walk in. Just listening to squirrels and crows right now. Good luck baws!

Buddy heaters are aptly named. I can turn it on for just a few minutes and the blind stays warm for awhile.

Good luck guys, living viciously through y’all.

A buddy heater sounds great right now. The feels like temperature is 8° and I can't feel my hands. I cracked into my emergency hand warmers but see where they expired on 2/2020. I'm not expecting much to happen this morning.

Didn’t bring my buddy heater but my boot/feet warmed are doing the trick and I have 4 hand warmers in each pocket. My pockets are like a microwave

I'm about to bail just because the wind is pissing me off. It's blasting over here. Might as well go get some work done.

How is the soil in St. Helena? All worthless red clay? It has always intrigued me, it is a dead zone on a map. Would be a good place to go scoop up lots of land on the cheap and make your own town if you had deep pockets.

Yea, I got a blowjob this morning that I didn’t like. Two of them at once, going back and forth. Both from upwindish areas!?. Must be swirling somehow.

One of my two hand warmers activated and it's barely putting out heat. Just had a doe come up behind me down wind and run off. She didn't blow thankfully. My only shot at a deer where I am is if they are almost directly in front of me. That activity will buy me another 30 minutes of motivation but I'm struggling.
