After 20 years I moved back for family .. having lived in other parts of the country its not that bad

Biggest thing is schools and hurricanes. We all live in little pockets mostly anyway.

Depends on your fishing. PNW has some of the best rivers for fishing I have seen. Whether boat, dock, or flyfishing, it's great.

Was just thinking thinking this morning how I can’t stand people like you lol. My wife and I live in rural Louisiana with our kids in a nice house that we own with a good chunk of land. Wouldn’t give it up for Austin Or anywhere else for that matter. My wife is from LA and Seattle and she has no desire to be in a big city for long periods of time again. I’ll admit that I like DFW and considered moving there before we met but I’m glad I didn’t. Why can’t people realize that what makes a place appealing to one makes no difference to another. And most of the things that people like you use to down Louisiana are pretty much non existent in the average person’s life. We love it here and have no desire to move to Texas or anywhere else in the near future. And the way you prioritize family says all I would ever need to know about you.

It's going to have to get alot worse for me to leave. Ive been to other states and outside of the country. The people running LA are shite, but I love it here.
