I've told multiple people this and everyone laughs, but if I was buying a new car in this range...it would be a Kia Optima. Comfortable car, good tech specs...I drove one from Houston to Lafayette for work one time and fell in love.

I drive an A6 for my car

It's a sharp looking car for sure. Kia and Hyundai are both making some nice cars, but some people still associate them with being cheap and poorly made.

No question Kia and Hyundai have stepped up their game, no question about it.

I am not kidding for one second, if Audi was not giving me a great deal on my new lease, and i didn't live in a superficial city like Miami, I would be getting an Optima tomorrow

Hyundai has def stepped up their game as well as their prices. Be prepared to pay $60K plus for their top end model. At that point, it just depends if you want your 60K car to have a Hyundai emblem or a Lexus.

Not always- in some cases, the previous year model is only a few hundred or maybe $1000 cheaper. It really just depends I what you're looking at. But way to sound like an a-hole anyway. ??

I have a Volkswagen TDI and I wouldn't recommend it to someone who wasn't at least somewhat of an engine nerd. It's a complicated needy sob

We have 2 Hyundais. Did have a Chevy and a Mercedes. The transition from Chevy to Hyundai is seamless. The transition from Mercedes to Hyundai sucks arse......but, I have to keep in mind that we have 2 Hyundais for what I was paying for one Mercedes.

All in all, they're good vehicles. It was the smart decision for sure. Gas mileage and maintenance are much better.

frick that. I am looking at 1 year old used cars. Possibly a former rental car. Well maintained, low miles, still like new, depreciation taken by the 1st owner.

And you think a rental car is well taken care of??

Just bought a 2014 Hyundai Sonata SE in June and I could not be happier with it. I got it for 21.5K

I traded in my '04 Accord for it FWIW.
