I had a yellow jacket problem this time last year. I burned my house down and built a new one.

I think stores like Home Depot and lowes sell a spray that kills them.

Call a pest control company. My mom had this issue last year. I sprayed and killed a lot. They found another entry/exit without skipping a beat. The pest control guy used some sort of powder and they were done. Money well spent.

They make traps and bait, but DO NOT get the bait on yourself under ANY circumstance unless you want to die.

I had to get in my attic with some spray. They made a huge softball sized nest on one of the rafters. I kept finding them in my house and could figure out why.
If you have the same problem then do not, I repeat, DO NOT go on the offensive with less than 2 full cans of spray. If there's ever a time to bust out your cargo pants it's for this type if mission.

They drop like rocks when I hit them with the spray. But I only kill them if they build a nest near my deck or front/ back door. They won't bother you if you don't swat at them. And they are a beneficial insect that eats bad bugs in my veggie garden.

Am I the only idiot that doesn't know what a soffit is?

Gtfo. Set them all on fire. They have no beneficial relationship to humans.

the rest of them can use a search engine.
try "soffit and fascia" which is the only way I ever hear it used
I use a yellow plastic catcher with a door they can get in, but they can't get out. you put one up and they all go in. they die in there.
two or three will do it at intervals near the nest.
I have also poured lime down the nest when they had a nest in the ground by a stairway. be quick with that one.
spray too, as noted. I have the spray right now.

Most yellow jacket sprays you find have a good 10-15 feet of range. Wait til 9 or 10 a clock when they all are resting and unload on them then haul arse. This stuff kills them very quick.

Demon XP. Buy it from Amazon, drop it in a 3 gallon sprayer. Let it dissolve and spray eaves and base of house. You won't have any kind of insect living within the next 6 months.
