you stand a lot better chance at being on boat and trying to swim vs being on plane and trying to fly.

Empty your bait locker and live well to lighten your boat and wait for the CG to arrive. SOP when spotting floating gumps.

I can swim and will do fine with a left vest on. However, I would be scared shitless in that water waiting on what is below.

Visibility must've been superb that day. I can see the hotels on the beach.

5 miles of visibility isn't that extreme on a clear day. if you're standing on the beach and can see the horizon thats about 3 miles

You can't easily learn to fly because no one can fly. You also have to fly to get places. This guy most likely did not have to be on this boat. If I can't swim, I'm not in water deeper than my waist.

Pretty absurd/sad though that an adult can't swim these days.

I assume that is Wallace Heck Jr.

I Met Wallace many years ago.

Yea they owned the concrete business and quite a few other business along with much of Greenwell Springs road.

Some might remember Furniture by Heck

They also raised quarter horses.

Didn't those big arse sharks Mary Lee and them track in the gulf at one point as well?

I am liking pools better nowadays.

This

came out of the Atlantic Ocean on a beach in NC and SC.

I was told about this in false river over the weekend, one of the people pulled in had a broken leg so I'm guessing that's him. Still not sure how you break a leg during a boat capsizing

I also was lucky enough to stay a week at their place in Orange beach when in college, it's not too shabby

as of 4/5/15, Betsy (a female white shark, 12'7" long, 1400#) was in the Tampa offshore area, as was Gina (female bull Shark, 302#, 8'2" long) and Sabrina (female Bull Shark, 287#, 8'6" long) albeit the Bull sharks are closer to Boca Grande & cape Coral.
But Betsy could have been circling around the swimmers
