So ebay has cheaper costs, free shipping, faster shipping, and the exact same products from the same merchants with better customer service and no downside?

That sounds too good to be true

last 3 purchases? Maybe you should have checked the price of those items on Amazon to make sure they weren't cheaper there before ordering on eBay?

What's happening is the seller is charging $25 for X product on eBay. It's $20 on Amazon. They buy it on Amazon and drop ship it to the eBay buyer. Volume makes them money. They always have a frick ton of sales on eBay

want to test it out? I do this all the time.

Get the best price on Amazon then get the SKU and buy same thing cheaper on eBay.

Why is this so hard to believe? eBay sellers don't have Amazon store overhead.

I don't believe it!

Now, if only there was a low monthly price so that I didn't have to pay it all up front

Ebay $11.18 and it would be Saturday before I got it (4-5 days)

I figure I order at least 100 items a year on Amazon so even if I add my "Amazon tax" of about $1 it's still cheaper than ebay and the shipping is twice as fast.

It is called arbitrage.

Sellers set up eBay Walmart and Amazon accounts and sell items on all. When someone buys an item say on eBay they look at Walmart and Amazon and see they can buy and ship from their cheaper than you are paying them on eBay so they take your order on eBay for $25 then go and buy it ok Amazon for $23 including free shipping. They keep the $2. They do this over and over.
