So am I, but damn, some of the allies are being obnoxious about it, moreso than the gays themselves. I've known a guy and his sister since childhood. The guy happens to be gay, not too flamboyant, has been with the same partner several years, otherwise not much different than anyone else. The sister (heterosexual) has been pretty much gloating nonstop on her FB page for the last three days. The brother has just gone about his business.

You took out the sexual aspect of their relationship.

That's what makes them "homosexual".

If you take away sexual attraction, then the term wouldn't even exist.

That being said, I'm happy gays can marry, and really couldn't give two shits about what other people do if it's not harming me.

Fair enough.

Do you know why? People want to feel like they made a difference.

He lives it.

What again exactly did people do to make a difference? Put a rainbow over their Facebook profile picture?

I unfriended everyone on FB that supported the ruling...which ended up being just one of my "friends." I've culled my FB friends well over the years.

Well, which is it? If the main purpose of marriage is reproduction, then what is the difference between homosexuals getting married and infertile people or post menopausal people getting married?

You must be a woman. Rarely do I hear a man think about these things when it comes to a spouse. Shared activities are things you do with your male friends, companionship=sex, and most men find communicating with women even their spouses at the very least slightly intolerable.
Physical Attraction is pretty important in the heterosexual males mind. Then some logical things like, can I tolerate her, does she take care of my other needs, would she make a good mother.

I'm a male who shares these activities with my wife: attend LSU games, camp, go on vacations, eat out, attend church, watch TV. Guess I'm one of those 'rare makes" you speak of who talks that way.
