Would Your Boss's Opinion Change if He Knew What You Were Listening to at Work?

Anyone use earbuds to kill the background noise at work?
I can stand the hum of the lights, the fridge kicking on in the corner of the office, the squeak of wheels under chairs, slamming drawers and fluttering paper as people go for files. And then there are the conversations -- sometimes entire of conversations carried out by just one person.
Can't handle that shite when I need to focus.
I have to throw in my ear buds and turn up the music, but I won't lie and say I wouldn't get fired for some of my choices --- if I had a boss -- Sometimes it's a harmless as Taj Mahal or Dr. John. Other days it's old school punk and ska from my skating days Vandals, Rancid, MMBT, MRTX, etc. frick, some days, I'll rock J-Pop all day--don't judge. And then there's old school country that didn't back off from using racially insensitive terms. FOllowed up by NWA, Too SHort, and Dayton Family after lunch.
SO, without further ado, what would your boss think if he got a glimpse at that days play list?

Yes, Adam Carolla show. Like 300 F bombs in a given show.

I have an office and play music over my speakers
My boss routinely comes in and hears what i listen to.

Of course not. I'd quit the second he even hinted that he gave a shite.

My boss knows not to bother me when I'm listening to DMX on Pandora in my office. I don't bother with earbuds either, just keep the phone at half-volume.

i don't let my employees wear earbuds, since i need them to listen to customers and answer the phone, not to mention, hear when i fricking speak to them...
for a while i had cut out music in our workplace, b/c they simply were not doing the job i needed them to do... but once they improved to a place i needed them to be at, i eased up a bit... and we listen to all kinds of different stuff.... but the more vulgar sort of stuff, i either have them listen to it so low no one can really hear it, or i have them turn it off...

I don't listen to music at work, but if they heard my play list inside my head they would think I was crazy. I may have a Tool song about fisting, Doug Stone, UGK and Air Supply run through my head in just a few minutes.

I guess it would be better than him seeing a tranny railing Charlie Sheen on your monitor.
