Nah, I'm assuming the guy is financially burdened. I've never had to make the choice between buying a stick of deodorant or paying the co-pay on my child's doctor visit.

I'm in the doctors office waiting room with my son. A man and child just sat down about 10ft from us and they stink. They smell sour and its making me sick to my stomach. Would you tell them?

No, but let's hope the doctor address their lack of personal hygiene.

Chill out . If both smell it sounds as if their laundry became damp/sour.

Happens & maybe he barely notices it.

When I'm not drinking others who are drinking smell like a distillery & I doubt they are aware of it.

I insist friends ,family , acquaintances politely point out hygiene issues with me. I insist.

No need in insulting this strange man & especially his child.

That thought did enter my mind. They did have a foreign black man in there which made me uncomfortable.

This.

But as far as telling a stranger they stink, I'd probably just move away from them.

To tell anyone you don't know that they stink is extremely rude and impolite never mind at a freaking doctors office. Show some manners walk away casually and sit somewhere else

Wouldn't it be funny if he was thinking the same thing about you.

Dr's offices have a stash of lysol spray for patients like this. Happens every day. It could be related to illness or infections.

Wait I thought it was dog food or prescription meds. Now it's copays or deodorant?
