Would you do 10 years at Angola for 10 million dollars when you got out?

No visitors.

And you have to register as a felon the rest of your life.

No. That's ten years you never get back. You can always get more money but not those 10 years

Believe it or not, Angola is not one of the worst prisons to be anymore. Almost all those inmates have 20+ to life sentences and at that point, they have accepted their situation and just making the best of it. Follow their rules and don't disrespect anyone and you'll probably be fine. They also have things to do to occupy your time and trades you can learn while your there. I'd rather be there than somewhere like a private prison or parish jail where you're just locked in a dorm all day and never see the light of day.

No. Not worth. There are many things money can replace. Time with people isn't one if them.

I've been in jail before. Did a few months for some drug related shite from back in my party days.

No amount of money is worth a man's freedom.

Anyone who says yes, especially for 10 years, has never lost their freedom before.

To an extent, you're right. But Angola isn't as tame as you make it sound.

Many people there have life, thus, they have nothing else to lose. If they think you're disrespecting them, looking at them wrong, whatever it may be, they'll come at you. Regardless if you were or not, it's about how they perceive it.

Burl Cain did a lot to help out the attitude in Angola. Regardless of what you think of him, he's the reason the murder numbers in Angola are no longer astronomical. However, it's still a crazy place that you wouldn't want to spend 10 years in, regardless of how much money you'd get when released.

Not no but HELL no! I once spent a weekend in jail. It seemed like a month. Can't imagine what 10 years would be like.
