I had all 4 of mine removed and my wife had her remaining 2 done the next day. We spent the weekend popping vicodin and eating ramen noodles. You should feel better in 3-4 days

My mouth was a little sore for a few days. I had trouble opening my mouth and then my jaw would lock up off and on for a few years but that also went away eventually.

Its not an option for me to not be all the way under. frick that.
Didn't put me under, and couldn't numb my left bottom one.
One of the most painful things I've ever experienced.
The drugs afterwards were the shite though.

I've had all four of mine removed. It was done on two different occasions. Once as a smoker, and one after I quit. The recovery for the one as a smoker was one of the worst pains I've ever had. Dry sockets on both and they got infected. I'm not a smart man. The recovery after I quit smoking was amazing. I didn't feel any pain and I just used the pain pills for funsies. They were impacted both times.

The NOS was awesome! Apparently I cursed out the waiting room on my way out the door and spit blood at an old lady who must have given me the stank eye. I then demanded to be taken to Smoothie King and tried to walk down hwy 190 to get there myself. After I woke up I ate a double bacon cheeseburger from McDonald's and I never felt any pain. Just walk it off, bro. You will be fine

Take the pain killers early and often and you'll be fine. Don't let the pain get ahead of you. Also depends on how well you tolerate pain and how much you complain. If you deal well with pain then you'll be okay.

I had to have my surgically removed as they were growing towards the teeth in front of them instead of up and down. The surgery itself was not bad but there was considerable soreness afterwards. That was back around 1992 - 1993 so that's about all I remember about it.
One thing I will advise if you're a smoker, if they pull them, DO NOT SMOKE ANYTHING for several days. The reason for this is smoking can trigger a dry socket. If you get this you will experience unrelenting pain and agony on scale you never imagined possible. I'm talking pain that will make you lose your mind. Trust me.... you do not want a dry socket.

Ive only had one surgery, left ankle, and I took one pain pill and hated it. Wonder if I should request something like 800mg Ibuprofen vs. a narcotic drug.

make sure you ice your face when you get home.
I didn't and I blew up like a balloon for a couple weeks. that was the only "complication" I had.

When I did mine, I was put to sleep.
Only thing I remembered was arriving. However, it was pretty freaky when I woke up with a mouth full of gaze.
Took a few pills, ate soft foods the for a day and was 100% and back to work by he third day.
ETA: 100% may be an exaggeration. But I'm pretty sure I was good to go.

I was put under and felt like I woke up immediately. Apparently said some inappropriate and hilarious things to the doctor and nurses on the way out. Got home, popped some pain meds and slept a while. After that it is just making sure you don't do anything that would cause dry sockets, which apparently hurt like a bitch. Follow the recovery instructions and you should be good with minimal pain. Taking pain meds is always fun too.
I did wake up from that nap the first day covered in blood. My wife dropped me off and went back to work. Nobody was there to wake me up to change the gauze so I overflowed. That was scary coming to, but there wasn't any pain.

Just make sure to follow the post procedure instructions diligently. Don't smoke, keep ice on there, and you should be ok.
Also, having a fair complexion seems to result in more swelling if you fall into that group. Swelling =/= pain, though.

Just watch out for dry socket, worst pain I've experienced. Good news is that if you do get dry socket you can go back to dentist and they put this shuff on it that causes immediate relief, so Vegas in a couple weeks shouldn't be a problem

You let your dentist fool you into thinking you needed them out? Rook move.

Had all four of mine removed at the same time back in the early 90's. Knocked out completely. sucked for about 3-4 days only eating soft foods and face swollen up like golf balls in my cheeks. First night was the worse because while I slept I swallowed so much blood I starting puking it up and screwed my stomach up for two days. But Im sure the procedure is better and easier today than it was back then. good luck.
