He's clever... He's funny... He'll be missed and if any of you think your news doesn't take sides, you've got something other than cable....

Well if you are a conservative, of course not. He's a big reason why the conservatives have no chance at the presidency.

And it's too bad conservatives haven't done a funny show like Daily Show. I'd watch it. It's all about entertainment and poking fun at things. I disagree with Stewart on some of his race baiting shite but that's life.

Wasn't that dumpster fire "Red Eye" supposed to be their answer?

The majority Fox's viewership is asleep 3 hours before Red Eye starts.

I won't miss him much. I don't watch the show regularly. But he's funny and the morons on here calling him a shill for the Democrats don't know what the frick they're talking about. He's liberal certainly, but he's not Bill Maher.

I appreciate that and I do feel dumb for not making the connection on that link. But I do encourage you to watch Oliver's program. He is definitely a net good for society. And it's not his views that make it a net good, but the fact that he's reporting on the boring yet essential issues going on in our government and the international platform. You can disagree with him, which I do on quite a few issues, but you can't deny the basic facts he's reporting on and why we should care about these issues. He makes boring stories entertaining and gives me a reason to care about them.

Stewart doesn't really do that and mindlessly bashes Fox News. I'm well informed, and very rarely has Stewart told me anything of substance I didn't know about already.

Oliver though tells me pretty consistently about things I don't know about and why I should care about things I'm ignorant of. That's why he's absolutely a net good for society. Even if you largely disagree with him, I highly advice you tune in to his program just to know about the boring yet essential issues.

I don't understand how someone can describe Jon Stewart as smug and know what smug means. Sean Hannity is smug. Stewart's style is very much goofy and self-deprecating.

Well if you are a conservative, of course not. He's a big reason why the conservatives have no chance at the presidency.

I am a conservative and used to max out on donations for president before it was 50 billion. Jon is not the reason we lose. We are the reason we lose.

And I will miss Stewart, he is funny as shite and if you ever watched him you would see that he gives liberals a lot more shite that arse kissing fox gives conservatives. I can the talking points from the RNC daily, so I don't need to see them blasted at me all day.

A few nights ago he took a shot at Obama for publicly condemning Aftica's treatment of women and not saying a damn thing and kissing arse with the Saudi's. Yea he has a liberal audience and SOME of his stuff is annoying but it's the most reasonable political show on TV. 10x better than CNN and Fox news
