Not really. He is too smug and sanctimonious to be funny. Now the Colbert Report....I still miss that show. That was such a brilliant character.

I was always the opposite. I found Colbert funny in small doses but it was too much a case of the same show every night. Which isn't really Colbert's fault; it was just a limitation caused by the format. He was a parody of Billo so he had to stay in character.

Stewart's format allowed for more variety. He could make fun of the Republicans on Monday night, CNN on Tuesday night, and pop culture on Wednesday night.

Can't stand him.

Stewart and Bill Maher irritate the shite out of me.

If only conservatives could learn to write comedy. Whenever they go after Maher or Stewart in response it is horrendous.

I will miss him. The show will flounder without him I believe. And it really was nearing its end anyway. I believe I am a pretty middle of the road guy politically. The world, especially our little corner of it is just very right. So it makes me feel left.

No

The scary part is that several posts here seem to think that what he did was journalism and not comedy.

Some people also think Fox News is journalism and not comedy, which is scary.

Not even picking a fight with anyone.

Where would you guys go to get "news"? Who do you feel just reports, and is unbiased.

If Fox or MSNBC or Drudge is an answer. I give up.

Stewart is extremely intelligent and funny and he'll definitely be missed. For those saying he was dishonest I'd like to see an example. I'm sure the Fox "news" crowd is happy to see him go.

What would you consider middle?

I've heard NPR mentioned before. Is it that the majority on here is so far right that the middle seems Marxist?

You seem to lean left too so you probably don't even realize they are.

They aren't as bad as others but IMO they lean more left than center.

The majority on here probably think Bill O'Reilly is a liberal hippie because he opposes the death penalty.
