And also a lot who signed and wished they hadn't. People know more now. Won't happen.

I'd prefer if NBR would secede. They could call themselves St. Barack and stop dragging us down.

It would be funny watching them try to fund themselves.

Yeah I don't understand how the education system is ranked at the bottom year after year, nothing is ever done to improve.

Start attending school board meetings and city Council meetings when education is in the agenda. You'll see immediately what the problem is.

St. George will absolutely happen

I wish to God it would. I would stand up and applaud.

And I haven't lived in BR in years, and have no plans on ever moving back. I am just for giving the middle finger to wasteful, abusive, overtaxing yet underperforming city government.

Once we get Denise Marcelle or Sharon Broome as mayor there will be mile long lines
to sign the new petition. Lest we forget St George had more than the required signatures last go round, but ran into a
Democrat that counted them.

I didn't sign last time. I will sign this time. My very large family feels the same way. Go drive through any SBR neighborhoods and look at the blue bows on the mailboxes. Ask any policeman if the rule of law exists in North Baton Rouge. People have to protect their families. There is your answer.

That would be my preferred solution. Let Marcelle or Weston-Broome govern that crime-ridden slum. North BR is the weight that is dragging the rest of the city down.

The school system would almost be inevitable.

Aren't school districts a parish matter? How would the St. George thing change the school system?

I will definitely be signing this time as is everyone else in my family and friends. Alton Sterling was the best thing to happen to St. George. BR is fricked.

Nobody at my house signed it last time, we will all sign it this time and it's got nothing to do with the school district

There are four public school districts in EBR Parish and some folks want a fifth.

Many just wanted a school district but were advised that they needs to form a city first.

It's not a parish problem.

when it starts back, everyone who signed the petition last time will sign it again plus there will be a lot more people sign this time who did not previously.

Damn straight! It will make it next go round.
