1 can of dip a week will dramatically increase your chances of getting mouth/throat cancer.

I recently attempted to quit from 5 cans a week. Now I'm down to less than 1. I dunno if I'm going to get to 0 though.

Nah. You have to dip like multiple tins a day to get cancer. Commercials and stuff are just scare tactics. Same thing with smoking. Government propaganda against successful private companies at it's finest.

Quit cold turkey. You'll forget all about it in two months time. I've been tobacco free since new years and I dipped for 23 years.

There is no way of answering that. The chances of avoiding cancer from tobacco are better if you avoid it totally.
I do know that oral cancer is a bitch. You lose your tongue, gums, teeth. It is a tough way to die. Google image it and spend time looking at what can happen. It will make you beg your kids to avoid dipping or chewing.
