Liberals like to force their beliefs on others. They just don't like to, you know, live under those conditions themselves.

The rent is too damn high.

Well if it's experienced the same hollowing out as elsewhere, wouldn't it still be equally as superior since all universities are apparently falling at the same rate?
Also, at trying to diminish the academics at places like Harvard and MIT.

Southern Louisiana born and bred here also.
Snakes, alligators, hurricanes, MEH
Alot of northern people are terrified of all three of those. My Gf gets calls all the time about snakes, wild boar, coons, etc. Their response, I just didn't know it was this bad.

I'll own up to that one. I'd rather meet up with Connor McGreggor at Sonic than deal with a snake.
My wife is the same way. My parents built a big Acadian style house on about 30 acres roughly 15 miles north of BR when I was a kid. Snakes were fairly common and much of the property was wooded. We'd get one in our house occasionally when one of us left the door open.

MIT. Harvard. Yale. NYU. Penn. Columbia. Princeton. And on, and on, and on. But yeah, probably no "common sense" in the northeast. Can't keep up with us LSU brainiacs.
I went to LSU undergrad for free and medical school for <$20000 a year. Quality education at a bargain price with hot women and top notch football. Those schools can suck it.

A few years ago I was at a motel in Houston when I opened a door and a snake fell on me. Apparently, it had been crawling on the top of the door (how'd it get there?).
Didn't faze me at all as I am one badass motherfricker
I admit it wasn't a very big snake, but still, it was a snake. Being a friend to all creatures great and small, I let it go on its way. I like to think it bit somebody later.

John Kerry and George W. Bush have Ivy League degrees. The academics can't be all that rigorous.

The curriculum at Ivy League schools was never more difficult than other top level schools. It was just that their entrance standards were more restrictive. But several decades of their own left-wing, PC nonsense has eroded that advantage. The Ivy League is coasting on it's past reputation to some extent. One of the things keeping it in its position (other than the fact that academia is the one circle more self-fellating than Hollywood) is that other top tier schools have also sacrificed their standards at the altar of Political Correctness.

Astronomically high

Wow. People with money and influence are able to get in. I'm sure that hasn't been the case since the dawn of each institution.
They are still the gold standard in academics.

Yep about a week ago I open my front door take a step and look down and yell "snake!". I do a Mc hammer move to the side and watch it slither away. It was a black racer or water snake if it was poisonous I may have ran for my shovel.

Dude I went to undergrad and law school for free at LSU. I regret nothing.
But if Harvard or Yale had wanted me? You're damn right I would have gone.
Also, I'm pretty sure the only time the word "quality" was used to describe LSU, it was done by Les Miles, and it sure as shite wasn't in regards to the education.

We have a lot of black racers and rat snakes here. I have seen a few poisonous ones and killed them because I have 2 girls and 2 labs. Otherwise I leave them alone.

Same here I have gold retriever pup that is very nosy in the backyard. I ran over a moccasin about 6 months ago with the lawnmower. I had chunks flying everywhere.

I have many colleagues around philly and NJ.
Their old 3 bed 2 bath houses are 600k. Their salaries are significantly inflated.
The company is shutting them all down and moving them to Texas, Georgia, and Arizona.
