It's always North LA vs South LA. Are there not glaring differences between let's say, Lake Charles and Slidell or Shreveport and Monroe?

Everyone south of I-10 from the texas border to the mississippi border all have more in common than we do with those yankees that live North of I-10

Religious differences trump geographic ones - the Protestant North vs the Catholic South.

Scruffy would say false. It's probably equal.
Weirdo baptists still have too strong of a hold on N. LA for Scruffy's liking though.

Protestantism has made more inroads in South Louisiana than Catholicism has in North Louisiana

East LA season the water
West LA they season the crawfish shells
West LA they season the crawfish shells

They wouldn't be considered "glaring" in contrast to the historical difference between the historically WASP/Protestant north and the French/Catholic south
at least in N. LA they do speak something resembling English

Lake Charles is Texas East, East of Baton Rouge above I-12 is an extension of Mississippi.
