I know Baton Rouge traffic, particularly on a Friday, is a cluster everywhere, but after the flood the traffic on Sherwood has been abysmal and some of the worst I've ever seen.

I was looking at the Google Traffic Maps and most of the city, and this was at 2:30 PM today, was clear with the exception being Sherwood Forest.

What gives?

It's a 2 lane major thoroughfare with a 35 mph speed limit. What do you expect?

Wreck with an overturned car @ the I-12 intersection around 3:30... Saw that earlier.

Well at least there's a reason for it today. It's been terrible all week. I just thought maybe trash and debris pickup was occurring and slowing down everyone

Was heading south on SF about then, towards 1-12, so that explains things. What a mess.

Bunch of people have been displaced and don't know the alternate routes yet. Certain stretches of streets in and around BR have been like this since the flood

Came through Sherwood going north from I12 to Florida around 5. It was moving well north, but was bumper to bumper going south from Florida all the way to I12 and it wasn't moving

It's like after Katrina, people driving around aimlessly. Think of zombies driving cars, and you got it.

I remember it taking literally like an hour to hour and a half to get from Sherwood and I-12 to I-10 after Katrina

Seems to be a common occurrence after these events
