My iphone won't play 60 hours of music on a single charge.
ETA: After reading the reviews, the battery power seems to be exaggerated.

Did someone forget to move the decimal?

Not sure but 128g is a lot of memory for something that small. It seems like it plays pretty much every kind of audio file. Maybe its the gold plating?

Even their small PoS walkman products are expensive for what they offer
I think Sony still puts too much stock in their name. That used to matter more but there are so many other manufacturers on par or better quality wise that it's no longer a valid advertising point for them.

My LG V10 is able to expand to 2 terabytes, and it's smaller and has damn near the same battery life.....

I have the 16gb walkman. I've never had a problem with it and its a lot cheaper than a similar ipod.

It can play much higher quality digital files than a new smart phone

I haven't installed it yet on my new phone, but I think the VLC player will also play .flac files and other high quality (lossless) files??

Not really. 128GB USB drives and SD cards are $30-$50. There are also 250GB, 500GB, 1TB. Storage is relatively cheap.
The main draw of this Walkman is the dedicated DAC and the ability to play hi-fi audio. Literally everything else about it can be found in bargain bin Android phones. It's novelty-level pricing to appeal to the self-proclaimed audiophiles with more money than sense, and a music library of exclusively FLAC 192kHz/24-bit tracks.

Not with the same fidelity you'd get from the Walkman's DAC (and assuming you pair the Walkman with good headphones). It's less of a file format compatibility issue and more of a hardware limitation when it comes to smartphones. For now, at least. I feel sorry for anyone who buys this and considers it even a semi-medium-level purchase in relation to their income.

Because you can start referring to yourself as an "audiophile" after you drop 1200 on it.

I have an OG walkman somewhere in a box. Also have the headphones that came with it that would hurt your ears if you wore them too long. I'll sell it to you for $1199

I run a car tablet with a USB DAC... Guaranteed it sounds better than this thing, and it's five years old.

Can your turn the volume up REALLY loud?

Please explain "car tablet". I am intrigued.

There is a poster here that has an iPad mini in his dash. I have seen a couple of people with that same setup, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some with an android tablet
