Also, when standing, hit the flush handle first before peeing. There is way less splatter on the toilet rim and floor.
We had a guy at work that stood, pissed and missed 50% of the time. He was on some type medication that made the floor sticky as honey after relieving himself.

My stream is strong and I'm very tall so that means plenty of splash-back onto the toilet seat and the floor. Sitting, eliminates this completely. Or sometimes I'll just piss in the shower.
