Don't believe it if you want. But that's literally what he said. And after spending 3+ years working FEMA projects in Chalmette and in Jefferson Parish, I fricking lost it on the guy.
I told him his pastor was a moron that was going to have to answer to St Peter for that ignorance.

Because when you substitute identity for reason, you are basically just giving a disclaimer of "This is why I'm about to say some irrational stuff. I subconsciously know it is and saying so up front makes me feel better about the cognitive dissonance."
This is what I figured. I'm sure a psychology major could tell you the scientific name for that behavior.

I changed the title. As I said, I'm not trying to bash Christians. I've just heard that exact sentence mite from Christians than other groups. That might be cause I'm in the construction industry. And wire there are plenty of intelligent people in the industry. A Mensa membership isn't required.

Chubs is a straight shooter, he wouldn't bullshite about that. I hope this thread gets him some much needed publicity so something good will come from this narcissistic rant.
I say that as a vegan who once meet a guy who looked like Bobby Fisher in Portland.

Many Christians are self righteous and judgmental. Others are hypocritical. Few have a true heart for God.
That's why you should never judge Christianity by observing Christians.

So this guy's obviously a fricking liar who can't find an actual soapbox to stand on so we should help him out with some made up groups to rail against
Nope. I just happened to meet a dumbass, whose pastor is Pat Robertson level ignorant, that heard my accent, and figured I was also an ignorant bastard.
Feel free to browse my history, and find any post I've made up.
There are some ignorant people out there, that believe God punishes entire cities because of a very small minority of the population. As if Nola is Sodom and Gomora.

Well, the people who started it are probably dead. It's a lot like king cakes in Nola, and I think the Randazzo(so?) Family. It started with one, and the rest of the family tried to open up their own version. The original is by far the best.
Anyone in Denver that wants a good smothered burrito or breakfast burrito, hit up Original Chubby's on 38th. Something else I'm not making up.

People judge other people by their "deeds" almost exclusively.... "Don't judge Christianity by Christians... judge christianity by the actions of Christians"
Theology has very philosophical and intellectually rewarding elements... this OTOH is meaningless religion babble.
