Yep. Luckily my swype typing isn't indicative of my intelligence, otherwise several Jefferson Parish streets and bridges would be fricked. Well... Nevermind. They already were before I got there.

People need to remember that being a Christian doesn't make you perfect all of a sudden. You are still gonna screw up like everyone else.

An older guy that I work with will start sentences with "He's a black guy, but..." I know at that point that it is going to be awful. The most recent time ended in "he's real clean." The most racist part is that he doesn't think that he's being racist.

I'll have to remember that. My new company has been sending me to Littleton and Cherry Creek a lot lately. And before that, I only worked on the RTD commuter rail project, that runs along 70 from Arvada to DIA, so I only know the north side.

Of course people screw up. No one is perfect.

well if you are in downtown littleton, chez jose is close by. As is wild ginger. wild ginger is the best thai in the area.

I live by cherry creek, there is a lot of good food over here. Try uber sausage if you haven't already, pricey but tasty.

Don't believe it if you want. But that's literally what he said. And after spending 3+ years working FEMA projects in Chalmette and in Jefferson Parish, I fricking lost it on the guy.

I told him his pastor was a moron that was going to have to answer to St Peter for that ignorance.

If I ever heard anything like that, I would just point out that Bourbon Street--the epicenter of sin in New Orleans--escaped without a scratch. Then I would ask if he believed God was too incompetent to hit His target or if it was just that God supports Southern Decadence and hates nursing home residents.

The advantage of doing it that way is you make his head explode.

What he posted has truth to it

Lyrics from a Christian song describes it pretty well imo

People aren't confused by the gospel
They're confused by us
Jesus is the only way to God
But we are not the only way to Jesus

This world doesn't need my tie, my hoodie
My denomination or my translation of the Bible
They just need Jesus
We can be passionate about what we believe

But we can't strap ourselves to the gospel
'Cause we're slowing it down
Jesus is going to save the world
But maybe the best thing we can do
Is just get out of the way

I'm not as judgemental IRL as I am on here. Probably about 50%less.

I had never heard anyone say this before in person, only televangelists. I definitely never heard anyone say it when I was in Louisiana, because they'd have been attacked.

But that is a brilliant response. I was just so pissed, all I could think of on the spot was, you're a moron, and your pastor is gonna burn for that belief. Which is strange, because I'm far from a fire and brimstone type. But that guy looked like some ex biker. So my guess is that he smoked piles of meth, and then went to the opposite end of the spectrum. Not a representative of the Colorado Christian.
